Virtual Reading Library

At Cedars Primary School and Nursery, we prioritise reading and realise that oral language development is key to a child's development. Children need a wide range of reading experiences to help develop a love of reading, curiosity and wonder about the world around them. By providing children with a wide selection of reading material, they can be supported to choose books for themselves. Below are some reading materials that you can access at home. Your child can hear different adults reading and share a variety of books with you, alongside their colour band books and other books you might be reading together. At Cedars Primary School and Nursery, our homework policy states that children should be reading 5 times a week with an adult in Reception, Key Stage 1 and they are expected to read a minimum of five times per week in Key Stage 2. Use the links below to enjoy reading a book together.
